Special Roundtable discussion on Resilience
Under the Chairmanship of Sir Mike Pitt, author of the independent Pitt Review commissioned by Ministers on the 2007 floods, the Forum examined the resilience of a number of sectors following the difficulties revealed by flooding earlier this year. The Roundtable was featured a presentation by Steve Unger, Group Director for Strategy, International, Technology and Economics at Ofcom, who is leading the new work on resilience in the UK Regulators Network. Penny Mordaunt MP, who became a Minister at the Department for Communities and Local Government also joined the roundtable as her ministerial responsibilities include resilience and emergency issues.
The Infrastructure Forum Advisory Council Dinner, Major Projects Authority
The Forum's Advisory Council welcomed John Manzoni, Chief Executive of the Major Projects Authority in the Cabinet Office to a dinner discussion to discuss the MPA's role in battle to turn around poor project management in Government.

Investment in Rail - New Opportunities
UK investment in rail has remained strong over the last few years, and it is expected to grow further with the construction of HS2. The special roundtable examined a number of of factors including future investment, the sustainability of the current funding model and potential opportunities for private investors.
City-region Financing for Economic and Social Infrastructure
This discussion brought together a number of organisations relevant to Cities, Regions and Local Authorities to exchange views on the opportunities for new forms of investment partnerships in local infrastructure projects. The roundtable examined the scope for extending existing models for economic infrastructure to schools, healthcare and housing.
Special Roundtable Discussion with Chairman of Airports Commission, Sir Howard Davies
With the work of the Airports Commission at a particularly interesting stage, Sir Howard Davies asked to meet The Infrastructure Forum’s network to discuss the Commission’s work and the next steps.
