Old Oak
OPDC is transforming the largest brownfield site in London into an inclusive, sustainable and prosperous canalside district in West London.
The Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation (OPDC) is a Mayoral Development Corporation (MDC), established by the Mayor of London to secure the regeneration of the Old Oak Opportunity area, spanning land in three London boroughs – Ealing, Brent and Hammersmith & Fulham.
The area includes Park Royal industrial estate, the Old Oak development area around the new High Speed 2 Old Oak Common Station and protected land at Wormwood Scrubs.
OPDC’s Local Plan has recently been adopted, setting out the development framework the area. We are now developing plans for Old Oak West on land surrounding Old Oak Common Station, Willesden Junction and North Acton, to create an urban district.
Location
The regeneration focuses around the Old Oak Opportunity area, spanning land in three London boroughs – Ealing, Brent and Hammersmith & Fulham.

Investment Type
Public Private Partnership model. Various investment types are being examined including both Government and private funding.
Planning Status
The Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation (OPDC) has a Local Plan that outlines the regeneration of the area and is the key planning policy document for the area. The plan was adopted in June 2022
Funding
The final cost of the Old Oak Common station is estimated to be around £7.1 billion. Additional funding required for further areas of redevelopment.
